cornfu > day 99: "mommy and daddy, stop fighting!".
cornfu > day 322: "5". my buddy wakes up when everyone else checks out. she runs like mad through our house while we all sleep. i got home late and was a bit burned out and 5 cheered me up with her non-stop energy and her "stalk" mode. she basically gets behind doors or chairs and then lunges at me when i pass by. and, yes, her name is "5".
cornfu > day 58: "gossip girls". barbie dolls creep me out. kylie was horrified to see her dolls wired and taped in a circle for the shoot. no damage done!
cornfu > day 157: "a mom's fury". adam drew this gem of mom in full anger mode because he didn't put away his toys. so he laid down some serious lead showing mom with steam coming out of her ears and nose. you can see the little drawing of him in the lower right holding a dart gun (the one he didn't put away). so what's with the button over the eye? we watched coraline tonight. it was a bit strange and had characters with buttons for eyes so i had to add in that creepy element to an already crazy-looking drawing.
cornfu > day 175. "death mask". this was created by a teacher at Rowan University. he was unhappy with it and i volunteered to relieve him of the piece.
cornfu > day 262: "infected". i have been reading "infected" by scott sigler. in the book one of the telltale signs of alien infection is the growth of blue triangles under the skin on various parts of the body. unfortunately my attempt at this looks like a bad tattoo! making it appear just under the skin looked like an overlay and making it puffy looked too much like a photoshop filter. oh well. a fun attempt nonetheless.
cornfu > day 104: "friends and family" plan. i am not sure why kid's toys must have faces on them but this freaks me out. mr. quickdial's eyes seem to follow me around the room and the ring is off-key like a sound byte from "the grudge". simplistic design and primary colors are accented with creepy face. you are pretty much screwed if you need to call for help but your phone is some haunted item with creepy eyes. but who really has a landline anyway?
cornfu > day 339: "monster". saturday's are becoming our craft day. the wife kept some old towels for craft material so i cut out a few "monsters" for my younger kids. i am getting better at not wrecking my wife's sewing machine. the shape was inspired by the "ugly monster" plush dolls that are currently popular. the next craft is going to have to involve steel, wood or something sharp and dangerous to offset the sewing! i am going to end up getting my "man" card pulled.
cornfu > day 227: today i started the process of closing our pool for the winter. i should have completed this task a few weeks ago. work and laziness are my excuses. the water is like ice now. hence the photo choice for my daily.
