086/365 - "line up". my wife and son are victims of my purchase of a few pocket wizard X's and a 40mm lens. sit down, clam up and face the camera! they were good sports even though i was challenged on my "this will only take a couple of minutes" statement. apparently that means a few hours to some.
day 351: "busted boo". my daughter, boo, had an injury to her toe nail. she played it for all it was worth.
day 324: "second wind". minutes before my youngest daughter was rubbing her eyes and almost down for the count. then out of nowhere she went nuts. of course the wife was more than happy to return the craziness.
day 277: "girls". my boys spent the night at a friend's house and left me alone with this strange breed. they love phones and dancing and shopping. they don't really like cranking van halen guitar solos or shooting zombies for endless hours. but i love them just the same! as for having a straight forward photo i was aiming for the photojournalistic vibe of jonathan torgovnik (aside from the harsh subjects he captures!). torgovnik shoots crisp, candid photos: www.torgovnik.com.
day 271: "red and blue". today my wife's grandmother passed away. Grammy was 83. My wife was trying to put on a strong face for the kids and did . she was sporting a bright red shirt but she was blue. she humored me by posing but i could clearly see she was lost in thought. i thought keeping her busy would help but it didn't. the plus was that at least my children got to meet their great grandmom.

p.s. i owed my wife a semi-normal photo after yesterday's picture!
day 241: "my buddy". tonight i wanted a shot of something other than a macro. so after hassling my wife i cornered her into this shot. it was worth it! i am digging the almost "overexposed" look. took a few others of my ugly mug and my son which i will post in the "misc" gallery.
day 190: "my boo". i was messing with a newly purchased (thanks, tooch!) Cactus PT-04 wireless flash trigger. way cheaper than a pocket wizard and works well for me. my wifey was kind enough to be my target. mind you that she hates to have her photo taken. i bounced a flash off of an umbrella about 6 feet away and had the flash set to 1/4 power and at 105mm—nothing fancy.
