day 198: "starfish" or "4 kids and a head". we spent ALL day in the sand on our last day in Ocean City. the kids are all blue now knowing school is right around the corner. this week FLEW by.
day 197: dusk on the boardwalk. back to the OC boardwalk for carmel popcorn and t-shirts for the kids.
day 195: today was windy and a constant pounding of sand. this kept me from taking my gear out on the beach for fear of damage. the beach was filled with kite boarders and uprooted umbrellas. the strange looking thing was all the people on the beach were facing south to avoid the sand blasting. my son and i braved the water which was actually warmer than sitting on the beach! the photo here is on the "safe" side of the dune which nicely blocked the wind.
day 194: we took a trip to the ocean city boardwalk today since the weather was 64 and overcast with a breeze. later on we did brave the water which wasn't actually all that bad. sunny or not, it is still vacation! i have no idea who the people pictured are... i was in "point and shoot" mode.
day 193: "mode of transportation". there are thousands of these low-tech bikes around ocean city. thos shot reminds me of the horses tied to posts outside of a saloon. the photos today were sparse as i spent most of the day getting smashed and rolled by waves. i assume the waves are a direct result of tropical storm danny.
day 192: "vacation". day one at Ocean City, New Jersey for our summer vacation! i will try to post some shots every day but am dependent on snaking off some spotty wifi. the connection comes and goes. pictured here is a sweet sand castle we spotted on a walk up the beach this evening.
day 144: "say cheese". we had some friends extend an invitation to spend a day at their beach house. we excepted. i have a few beach shots but i was a bit chicken to take my gear near sand! today's shot was from the ocean city board walk. the fry cashier was quick to smile when i pointed a camera lens at her. that was too cool to pass up! i have some others i will post in the "places" gallery at a later date. i am glazed over from chasing my 2 year old around the sand all day. 2 year olds and sun are a tiring combo.
