day 164: today we scored a bushel of number 1 crabs. i attempted a few photos of them in the basket but was in fear of my toes as a half dozen escaped and were on the offensive. they put up a brave fight but all ended up in the steaming pot. we do this once or twice a summer and it is a great time. eventually i will get my father-in-law's secret recipe for cooking crabs. in the meantime i get the unglamorous, gory job of cleaning the crabs.
