cornfu > day 311: "to grandmother's house we go". visiting the folks! traffic was horrible but it is always great to hang with my parents. was actually tempted to do a photo related to the group 311 but since it is the day after Christmas that just seemed off. be safe and enjoy the Holiday!
cornfu > day 310: "Christmas Day". my youngest daughter's classic kid reaction! eventually she will hit the "deadpan" teens with the classic poker face. until then i will enjoy her joy! today started off with me running to beat the kids to the tree. then we read the Christmas story from Luke chapter 2. then we finished with gift opening. this day always blazes by and ends with my wife dog tired from being the awesome cook/hostess that she is. Merry Christmas, smugmuggers.
cornfu > day 309: "gift anxiety". there comes that moment when i get a bit anxious that the wife or kids won't like the gifts they received. not that they would say anything. part of gift giving is picking up on hints and guessing. tomorrow my house celebrates the True Gift on Christmas. Reliant K said it best in their lyrics from the song "I celebrate the day". the chorus line is:

"And I, I celebrate the day
That You were born to die
So I could one day pray for You to save my life"

note on the prop. i was working on a house project this morning and saw a piece of scrap wood that had two holes in it that made it look like a robot face. so off to the garage i went. after some cutting, sanding and wood glue i had my "sad-bot" complete. it actually looks more sad if it doesn't have the arm.
cornfu > day 308: "oh SNAP!". i realize that there a few folks out there that will be highly offended at this somewhat gross shot. but i couldn't resist the strangeness of finding nothing but a mouse head. my cat was obsessed with getting out into the garage for the last two days and to my horror i found out why–she was snacking down on mr. mouse. now no one in my family will let the cat lick them. kitty now walks alone!
cornfu > day 307: "the walking dead". today was a gift exchange at work. i got an awesome set of graphic novels from image comics. and, yes, it's about zombies! i am obviously too open at work about my fascination with the "living" dead stories!
cornfu > day 306: "ill in the chill". tried to get a clever snow shot tonight but the cold wreaked havoc on my batteries and remote triggers. finally my canon batteries deep-6'd. this was the best of my blurred, off balanced work. my original intent was to pull off a night, zombie hunter type pose with a shovel and push an air of eeriness with the setting/lighting. but it looks more like "red neck burying cat at night in snow". the funny part was watching folks who were driving by pause with their high beams aimed at the dork running through snow with a shovel and a remote trigger.
cornfu > day 305: "wave". took a few "snow" pictures today while sliding around the neighborhood but this one stood out due to the wave of snow on the roof. this is the premiere movie theatre. sadly, this is yet another building closed in my town. with the current ship of fools running washington i am sure foreclosures, unemployment and false promises will continue.
cornfu > day 304: "shovel time". big time snow storm hit us this morning. predicted accumulation is 18-24 inches! perfect weather for this Christmas season. i hate having a mild, raining Christmas day!? not sure if the the white stuff can last until the 25th but here is to hoping! this photo was a bit dull so i applied a lightroom preset know as "Creative Catalyst 12" to cool it down, add some grit and give it some punch.
cornfu > day 303. "barbie lost and found".
