cornfu > day 302: yet another zombie picture.
cornfu > day 301: "devil in the details". i happened to notice a small detail in my vans jeans... one of the rivets actually has a skull icon on it. impressive. to put such detail in a small rivet!
cornfu > day 300: "max". very cool, likable cat that just joined our crew. designer, animator and drummer. shown here is his new sleeve from a french artist mcbess (mcbess.com). 8 hours of pain for just the outline. the photo was a bit of a rush job but max was a good sport about it. will revisit this shot using a better lighting setup.
cornfu > day 299: "merry kerry christmas". on my nosing around an abandoned farm i stumbled upon scattered goods in a garage. strange coincidence that one of the items was an 8-track tape of christmas music.
cornfu > day 298: "light". was wondering what to photo this evening and saw a few things that inspired me to go with the blurred/blown out look. i saw an alt rock video of members on a white set as well as the opening credits for a LAME 2008 movie (blindness) that had a great look. i am not sure if this technique has an official name but i like the look. for the setup i bounced a flash out of an umbrella low to the ground pointing up. the flash was slightly behind the subject. i had 2 of my kids hold up a white sheet behind the subject and threw another sheet on the ground. i intentionally unfocussed the shot to kill the edges even more.
cornfu > day 297: "broken". spent a full 24 hours WITHOUT internet!? we upgraded to comcast HD and this, apparently, downgraded my internet service to the point of my email account being deleted. joyous time! the only thing i could do is wait a full day for some mysterious database to "refresh" and return my access. the true mystery is that they seem to have the ability to turn your account off instantly but it takes "24 to 48 hours" to get back on. my posting is obviously late though taken on time. my youngest son hopped out of our car and his watch hit the pavement. he was in tears at it's demise as he saved up to buy this watch himself. i thought it was an appropriate theme having to deal with broken and time lost considering my bumpy ride with comcast.
