cornfu > day 293: "mouth of pain". my poor girl got her braces today. i get the bill.
cornfu > day 292: "boxer".
cornfu > day 291: "cold chinese". after having major problems with our comcast HD hook up we totally missed supper. so i ended up with rerun chinese food. was busy going through photos of a family shoot i did last week so i lazied out and went with a food shot (if a fortune cookie actually counts as food!).
cornfu > day 290: "who's there?". was out doing laundry in the garage and noticed the condensation on the windows. a balmy 68 inside and 33 outside! figured it would be a cool shot. my youngest daughter was "helping" and got freaked out that someone else was in the garage. i admit it is a bit creepy at times. so i went with the "intruder" shot a bit by setting the timer and hauling rump outside to place a palm on the window. i did this a few times to get the right vibe. eventually i had to shine a flashlight behind my hand to get it to pick up properly. i need to do a few less creepy shots as my wife is starting to complain!
cornfu > day 289: "zombie youth". got this idea when my cat hopped up in between the shower curtains. it had a cool, hazy creepy feel. so i volunteered my son to pose for this (after i fired my 2 and half year old!). i used a light room preset called "creative catalyst 10" and punched the blacks and contrast a bit more. then i took it into photoshop to add some splatter and duped a layer (set to multiply 60%) and then erased parts of that layer to reveal more detail. i used an off-camera flash set on the floor and bounced off the ceiling. used a shop light hung over the shower curtain to add some opacity to the plastic.

it is almost Christmas yet i am doing yet another zombie photo? they are just too much fun! i may do a week of this to get it out of my system and return to normal.
cornfu > day 288: "man down". i apologize for another SP but after 2 and a half hours of sleep and another long day i have NO energy or creativity left. after watching Fringe i am checking out for good 10+ hours! i used to be able to do an all nighter but those days are apparently gone!
cornfu > day 287: pretending i am not still at work. due to the late nature of my work day i was unable to post yesterday but still managed to at least shoot the photo that day. hoping today is going to be a bit more normal. side note: MGD 64 is goat urine.
cornfu > day 286: "walking dead". freaky, huh? inspired by steven lee to go a bit beyond a photo and add a little photoshop magic in. bounced a flash off the wall close quarters to get harsh light. chose an upward angle to make the shot a little more aggressive.
cornfu > day 285: "macro monday". everything looks better with a macro!
day 289: "zombie youth". got this idea when my cat hopped up in between the shower curtains. it had a cool, hazy creepy feel. so i volunteered my son to pose for this (after i fired my 2 and half year old!). i used a light room preset called "creative catalyst 10" and punched the blacks and contrast a bit more. then i took it into photoshop to add some splatter and duped a layer (set to multiply 60%) and then erased parts of that layer to reveal more detail. i used an off-camera flash set on the floor and bounced off the ceiling. used a shop light hung over the shower curtain to add some opacity to the plastic.
