cornfu > day 284: "extended family". did a photo shoot of my niece and related kids today. i was flattered to be asked and had a good time yelling at kids to not smile too much. i went with a flash shot through and umbrella to the left and natural light to the right. quick and easy. my wife scolded me to not go dramatic with the lighting. in her words "they are NOT looking for dark. they want a normal photo". thanks, hon! so much for using my snoot made of a cereal box and duct tape!?
cornfu > day 283: "Aequitas". very excited that the movie "The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day" is out! in the movie the brothers have 2 latin tatts on their hands that read "Veritas" and "Aequitas" (truth and justice). when our own military gets in trouble for "mishandling" a know terrorist (a black eye? for real?) upon capture i guess i crave movies that involve pure, unhindered justice. swift and final. refreshing. politically correct cowards like eric holder (mr. give terrorists a civilian trial) can kiss my ass. leave our military and cia alone and let them do their job you moron. how are you good for our country's safety? you are not.
cornfu > day 282: "live long and prosper... and clean those nails!" we rented star trek tonight and peeped it on our new HD tv! the visuals were superb in that movie! we enjoyed it! the kids spent a bit trying to master the "spock" hand. geeks!
cornfu > day 281: "black and white". i am protesting color today as i saw quite a few folks out hanging christmas lights. give the pilgrims and indians a little leeway! happy thanksgiving!
cornfu > day 280: "whack and unwrap". heheh! i love any candy product that has the work "whack" on the label! the above candy is seasonal and is a ball of chocolate that is shaped and segmented like a real orange. you whack it on a hard surface and it splits nicely into slices.
cornfu > day 279: "video/audio". staring at tv. tired. notice video and audio wires for dvd player. take shot. go to sleep.
cornfu > day 278: "potassium fingers". figured i would snag a shot of the bananas before my kids decimate them. the bright, warm yellow was a nice change to the current weather... windy, raining and cold.
cornfu > day 277: "girls". my boys spent the night at a friend's house and left me alone with this strange breed. they love phones and dancing and shopping. they don't really like cranking van halen guitar solos or shooting zombies for endless hours. but i love them just the same! as for having a straight forward photo i was aiming for the photojournalistic vibe of jonathan torgovnik (aside from the harsh subjects he captures!). torgovnik shoots crisp, candid photos: www.torgovnik.com.
cornfu > day 276: "benchmark". today i cleaned my garage so i could actually get to the gym equipment. it is easy to fall into a "desk job/cheesesteak meal plan" mode and feel the slow down. the next step is to actually USE the equipment.
