day 40: feels like 40 days and 40 nights of work. lots happening but that is fine by me in this crap economy. figured i would go with a self portrait today expressing my need to sleep but not having that luxury. what you don't see in this picture is my two year old behind the bottle pulling my hair as i fake a shot. went with out a flash and set my WB to tungsten. dropped a sepia filter on this and called it a night. now off to work. day 41: wanted to do a night shot but didn't have much time due to late work hours and the need to get home. this was shot from the roof of my car at the building where i work. i should have set the aperture to 5.6 but was in a hurry to jet. shame.

day 39: the day started off rainy and cold but ended up going sunny 70's. we were out enjoying the sun and i saw quite a few earth worms making a hasty retreat for soft dirt. the one in the photo was a mime and doing a shepherd's cane impression. the wife's comment on today's shot: "gross".

day 38: game night. we are playing farkel. you get 3 turns at rolling 6 dice. it is scored Each 1=100, Each 5=50, Three 1's=1000, Three 2's=200, Three 3's=300, Three 4's=400, Three 5's=500, Three 6's=600. first one to 10,000 wins. you have to get 500 points to get in the game and start adding points. easy to play and great fun for a wide age range. emma is the only one not playing because she tries to eat the dice.

day 37: for this shot i threw a comforter on the floor and placed my sleeping daughter on the blanket. then i stood up on a chair and shot down. for lighting i had a small florescent lamp facing her back and then i bounced an off camera flash off the ceiling. after that i found a cool set of angel wing brushes for photoshop and added them in on a new layer set to multiply and cranked down to 80%

day 36: a quick and dirty photo of a metal sculpture i did back in my Rowan University days. i am guessing i did this in 1996. i took a sculpture class and the teacher gave us the option to weld. i totally enjoyed this class. i called this piece "brush head".

day 35: cold dinner. got home quite late from work and my awesome wife had dinner ready to go. nothing a microwave can remedy.

day 34: inbetween takes. hanging out at lighthouse studio in branchburg, nj during a shoot and had to snag this candid moment. had a fun day hanging with teflon, audi, tooch, markusFresh and nickySix.

day 33: this weekend was "clean out the attic" day. i came across one of many boxes of comics i collected as a kid. i love this corny ad for subscribing via mail for marvel comics. i miss the 60 cents comics. at the time i was collecting The New Defenders, Ghost Rider, Godzilla, Micronauts to name a few. i was also collecting Judge Dredd from Eagle Comics
