day 123: "father's pride". i am guilty of putting more into my day job than my kids' future... but every once in a while i wake up to realize how blessed i am to have such awesome kids. here the crew is watching "pirates of the caribbean - at world's end". i staged the dog pile. i had about 2 minutes to climb a step ladder and shoot before son #1 on the bottom protested lack of air. next up we are watching napoleon dynamite and eating fresh oatmeal cookies! today is a great day!

the goal: take photos daily and pick one per day to post. do this for a month. no theme this time.

day 131: "right eye dominate". i shot some quick photos of yet another abandoned company off of exit 19 on 295 but wasn't feeling the results. then i got the spark to do some eye shots combining my kids. what a pain in the butt to get a clean, crisp shot using the macro when aiming at 2 giggling kids. i had some almost crisp shots of my daughter's brown eye against my son's gray/blue eye but favored the one where my daughter is breaking into laughter and my son is getting ready to break... you can see it in his eye! i will revisit this shot in the future.

day 130: "temporary mary". after listening to cliqhop (robot clicks and beeps music on streaming radio via iTunes) and watching some scifi i was in the mood to shoot some abstract, foreign environment photos. but after looking at the shots it seems this is more suited for the passing of quite a few celebrities this month. the above photo is of a cold cast mask my daughter made in school. it is very temporary and not made to last. it was a creation of pride for her, we enjoy her art and then it is gone. same with us... here today and gone tomorrow. just vapors. as the bible states... we are blades of grass that quickly wither up in the heat. make your time here count and walk a clean, straight path! ask yourself what congress would do and do the exact opposite! heheh! had to get that jab in there!

day 129: "angel". my little girl slays me with her looks. the boys were off fishing with a church group so it was me and the ladies at the homestead. we held down the pool and enjoyed the sun. in this photo my daughter is just pulling out of "slumberton" (a.k.a. the afternoon nap). even in her groggy state she is angelic. God has blessed my wife and i greatly with beautiful, kind children.

day 128: "thirst". when the work day drifts into the next morning it is time for some down time. today i was off the grid and soaked in the peace with my wife and kids. i felt life and perspective seep back in. it was hot and humid south jersey style and my tomato plants were looking beat. during the watering i had my son hold an umbrella over me so i didn't deep-6 my camera while taking a few close ups. got a few cool snags of water droplets (bottom right) but didn't want to crop the photo down.

day 127: "welcome!". today we were in high gear for a pitch to a cool, new client with a great product. pictured are two of our crew as the welcome committee. the serious expressions on their faces are a result of sleep depravation! the pitch was a month of hard work and late nights but i think we kicked it out of the park! tomorrow i am off of work so the daily shot won't be of work! for now i am going to clock out and SLEEP!

day 126: "go to the light". i was busy slipping in and out of consciousness in the main conference room that we have been sitting in since 10 am this morning and i realized i better get my shot in for the day. i nodded off and up and saw the overhead projector and liked the look. back to work. looking at a 2 a.m. day.

day 125: "there's something in the lobby". i am at work late again. in-between busting hump i snuck out to photo freaky little mr. speedy on our 3rd floor lobby. if this is someone's concept of cute then i would hate to see their version of scary. speedy is doing everything BUT settling your stomach. this sucker belongs on the twilight zone. i am so tired now that i am sure i saw his eyes move and i am likely to see him in the rearview mirror of my car on my commute home.

day 124 - "water surplus". got home and signs of a downpour were present. decided to go with a blue and, of course, a fire hydrant! too lazy to venture out this evening.
