day 140: "hey you turtle? no running by the pool!". today i worked at home which was nice. got to spend lunch watching the offspring splash around. today's weather was perfect! what's with the turtle? that is how i feel today after yesterday's mcdonald's ab-building meal. i passed up the chance to shoot something clever with today's date—07 08 09 but figured nawset would jump on that and kick it out of the park!

day 139: "buh da bup ba bah, i'm lazin' it!". too lazy to cook... too lazy to compose a shot due to several illustrations i need to have finished for tomorrow morning. we hit the health drive-thru and had to "pull up to the yellow line" due to having the large family! at least the fries were hot. i went ghetto commando and hung out the car window to snag this lack-luster shot. i was happy to actually get a worker in the background! not sure if she was sweeping the floor or kicking a patron in the chest to get his heart going again. gotta love mcGrease!

day 138: "FAIL". yep... vowed to avoid resorting to pet shots but my son argued hard that the photo had to be of the cat because it was part of what was happening today. "aren't dailies supposed to be a snap shot of your day?". and the fact that the poor ball of fur survived my 4 kids for yet another day is a solid reason to post. we still are battling over a name for her. i have to admit that i actually am fond of the dang cat. she keeps me company on those 2 a.m. work days

and no, pete! this isn't a redneck bed for the cat. we bought a nice set up but she insists on the beat up box.

day 137: "black on black". we got our kids a kitten today and i did everything in my power to not do a "pet" photo. but i am bound to fail... that little puff ball is too cute as it pops and slides across our wood floors. for today's shot i wanted to take something fun and light it so it came across as serious and heavy... if that makes any sense. hey, at least it isn't another pet shot!

day 135: "you need it, i got it". on my round of chores today we made a stop by pop pop's. i just had to grab a quick shot of his garage! i could spend half a day in here staging shots but would run the risk of needing a search party to pull me out. pop pop's view on "collecting" is "ya never know when someone will need..." — fill in the blank. now if we could just figure out an inventory system!

day 135: "damages". July 1, 2009 good ol' pennsville had a 2.8 magnitude earthquake. nothing dramatic but we thought it was kind of cool. today's photo is of my poor macbook pro's power charger and it's cracked cord bezel. thought it looked like it was "quake" casualty.

day 133: "camera surveillance". on the way home from work i diverted off of 295 to some storage tanks (oil maybe?) to snap a few picks. there were cameras EVERYWHERE not including mine! since i may be getting a visit from black suits in black cars for taking photos here i figured i might as well post a shot! this place has the feel of a government testing facility from a hulk comic.

day 132: "you say poe-tay-toe, i say pah-tah-toe". i really wanted to just veg out like a tater on the couch but i had to get my daily in. i started to take a few photos outdoors in the dark using a single light source (small light table propped up on a ladder) but had setbacks. namely, my 2 year old was moving too much for my slow exposure and then rain began to fall. i had been listening to radiohead on pandora earlier and was inspired by the sterile halogen lighting on their video for "fake plastic trees". this is what i was going for with this photo.
